Why can"t I lose stomach fat?

-okay so every day



I run 3 mi

40 sit -up

40 push ups

and some jump jacks



I pretty small already, i have a 28 in waist, and i weigh about 128

but i can get rid of my tummy fat, i stop drinking soda and candy.



what can I do? I want to have a nice body, so other guys will like meStep one, do it for you. =) Though I do understand the wanting to attract men aspect, it should be doing it to feel good first.



Eliminate grains and lower carbs in general. I guess grains tend to impact the midsection especially, and are bad just overall. Also, weight lifting and sprinting (short but intense exercises) are more effective for weight loss than cardio. Short and intense boosts metabolism for a while.Stomach fat is the most stubborn or hardest area of fat to burn off, and cardio helps so I suggest increasing your mileage or putting more effort into those three miles. Emotional Abuse? need help?

-I have been the victim of emotional abuse,

I have had to leave my home due to emtional blackmail,

She turned everyone against me,

Lied and hit me many times,

Said many inappropriate things to me,

I found myself asking her everyday, do u love me.

She has played sever mind games with me.

Put me in the position where i was attacked with an iron bar and put into hospital.

Yet i still love her

We arnt together now, less than 2 weeks she is being nasty to me, setting nasty fb statuses flaunting she is single.

Adding all her ex boyfriends.

Acting like the last three years we have been together have been a prison for her. The thought of her having sex with someone else is making me feel sick, and i know we arnt together, but i dont know how to switch it off. How do i let go, man 2 man. I have never been in love with anyone in my life so much, and i have been destroyed. I need to forget.Look I been thru a similar situation. And it felt horrible to realize the person I loved for four years never loved me back. U deserve better than her she must of gone thru some emotional pain in her past and taking it out on you. The point is you don't need a toxic person in your life. Let her add her ex boyfriends that just prove to you that shes a no good skank and that what shes doing to you shes obviously enjoying. Put yourself first and love yourself I assure u you'll find the happiness you need. Been there, done that. Survived with the help of a good psychologist and prescriptions. GET HELP!
Here's a list of what you could do:

Hang with mates, go to a bar with them. It helps.

See a counsellour to sort yourself out. emotional abuse is nothing light and needs to be dealt with.

Delete her, block her and get rid of anything with her name on it. The last thing you need is the chance to contact that btch. Get her OUT of your life.

Get rid of things that remind you of her.

Don't sit at home getting upset or you'll get depressed. Force yourself out with mates to clubs or whatever. Talk to your exes.

Try foccussing on school/career/university/college to distract yourself from her.

She knows she is hurting you and she is LOVING it. The best you could do is show you don't care what she does, she has hurt you and you don't want that hurt in your life anymore. Try your hardest to move on. I know thinking of other girls is a tough thing to do, and you will often think of your ex, but try and forget her. Open yourself up for new love with someone who isn't mentally screwed in the head.

-Im starting my first year of college and are picking classes tommorowbiology-pre dental major. You'll need to get into dental school then go through more schooling to be an orthodontist. Talk to your advisor and contact some dental schools.You need to talk to a counselor. I think there are a couple things you can major in. I'll ask my hubby what he majored in for his first 4 yrs before dental school and write back. Definitely talk to your counselor though.

-Like It's right next to my Gina lips, but it's not on them, it's on my legs. I've had these ever since I started shaving down there, nd when they go away they leave like , holes in my legs, like dents, they look like dimples, it's ICKY. Nd they hurt sometimes, they come in a variety of sizes, the biggest ones are like half the size of a dime. It's like a bump, just looks like my skin is swollen, but they do pop like it's nothing. Ingrown hair? How can I prevent these?After shaving, use neosporine on the shaved area. There are creams or something to get rid of it but i havent used some before or something but i do have some.

I'm truly sorry you feel this way.. You should talk to someone you trust. Suicide is never the solution, trust me. I was depressed for a lot of years, and I've had the exact same thoughts as you do.

REALLY intense cramps. Like period cramps but not on period.?

-Please help. This has happened to me before. A few times. But I get REALLY intense cramps but im not on my period. Also ive been having a lot of discharge. Idk if thats because...ive been thinking thoughts about people I like (haha...sorry) but please help.It's not uncommon to get cramps after you ovulate and before your period (this gives you about a two week block before your period). Some girls get cramps a few days leading up to the period.

I'm really worried about my gardasil vaccine?

-Ok, so I'm 13 years old and I got the vaccine about a year ago.

My mom had cervical cancer, so she really wanted me to have this vaccine.

And now I've read all these bad things about the vaccine like death and paralysis,

and I'm really worried. The only side effect I had was a sore arm after the shots, but that wore off in a couple minutes.

Could it possibly affect me later in life? Like and problems with pregnancy or something?

I want my boyfriend to cheat on me?

-My boyfriend and I have been together for over 2 years, and when we first started going out he was wonderful to me. However, he started sneaking around, lying to me, ignoring me, sexually and emotionally abusing me....and I guess my self-esteem was too low that I decided what he was doing to me was normal and that I didn't deserve to be treated well. I always did everything I possibly could for him, but slowly I realized that he was being a horrible boyfriend. I was depressed for years before we met, and I've become depressed once again. I was that boyfriend. Like holy ****. I've been dating my girlfriend for 19 days short of two years. She used to be terribly depressed and when we met, I made it all better. But she became controlling of me and mean to my friends. So one day, I met another girl and told her all my problems and basically never confronted my girlfriend about how she made me feel. Am I starving myself/ anerexic?

-Mentally there's nothing wrong. I don't have a big issue with my weight and I don't have a problem eating. I love food. But I've been cutting down alot. I've eating about 1000 calories daily the past two weeks. It fills me up and it's healthier foods. My waist has gone down about 2 inches. My mom is concerned I'm starving myself, and I honestly don't think I am.i''d say ur fine! just dont overdo ityou need to eat a minimum of 1400 calories. This can change depending upon your height and weight, but for all people the minimum is 1400. Cutting back on specifically fats/carbohydrates is never healthy, even if you are trying to eat healthier. More fruits/vegetables as a substitute for other things is not healthy unless a doctor recommends it specifically to you. Two inches in two weeks isn't healthy in general. Have your parents take you to see a nutritionist if you are interested in eating healthy. In the meantime, no less than 1400 calories.
Mabey you should eat more in front of your mom, but an easy way to cut down is just drinking two glasses of ice water before every meal, or just as simple as eating balsamic vinegar on pasta (it cuts down 20% of your waistline over time)

-Hi I wear glasses for nearsightedness and I have -1.25 for both eyes. My optometrist said I should wear my eyeglasses for class, movies, tv, ect. But should I wear them all the time? Antidepressant made my sex drive basically go away? help!?

-First off im 23. Ive never had any problems sexually ever in my life. I was prescribed Prozac by my doctor to treat some depression i was having... than i noticed that when i have sex with my girlfriend i couldn't orgasm not matter how hard i tried. I'm also i pretty good shape so I could go for days! so naturally i quit taking that damn antidepressant and my sex drive problem is still here.... so now I'm depressed and I cant get off... double whammy! somebody give me some advice here pleaseProzac is well known for causing a lowered sex drive and anorgasmia, or the lack of orgasm. I wouldn't reccomend going off of your medication without consulting a doctor. So my advice is make an appointment to see a doctor, and explain your situation.



There are alot of different alternative medications to Prozac, as well as alot of non pharmaceutical approaches for treating depression. Your doctor will be able to discuss these with you.

A tomboy bra question?

-So I'm a serious tomboy. I always have been too. I sometimes shop in the boys section, I'd rather hang out with boys than girls, and I've never been afraid to get down and dirty. Even if I don't sound like it, I totally am a tomboy. And because I spend a lot of time outside, or running around, or playing sports I really like tank tops. There's just one problem with tank tops and that's that your bra strap ends up showing. And even through I'm only an a cup, I really like the support of a real bra. I think I might have Psoriasis?

-I have a red puffy rash all over my face. It burns and itches. Its not sunburn, its some kind of rash. Lately its been really dry and stingy/itchy. I also have a very dry penis that is red and itches, as well as a very red and itchy scrotum... I know it's gross but it is what it is... I thought it was poison ivy at first but its not bumpy like poison ivy and doesn't itch as much as it should, plus the fact I've had it for two and a half weeks. So I searched around a little and it seems a lot of symptoms point towards psoriasis.



So basically I'm wondering, does this sound like psoriasis? ThanksPsoriasis is usually dry, but not necessarily itchy unless you pick and scratch at the plaque spots. Also it doesn't usually cause puffiness.

It doesn't sound like psoriasis. Psoriasis is more than just red and itchy, it's flaky/crusty.
Did the 'rash' on your face develop slowly over time or did it appear quickly? Psoriasis is slow, not much 'puffiness' you described is on your face, more like red, white scaly skin. Does the stinginess happen after you scratch and/or try to put some lotion on it? Psoriasis isn't too stingy by itself unless you mess with it like putting smelly lotion on. If you think it is psoriasis, try getting some lotion like Yes to carrots body butter, that is not irritating at all on my skin (and I have it all over my body), there's close to no scent, just a really light baby smell, if it is psoriasis it will go away with reapplied lotion or medicine. (Unfortunately, there's no cure, it is chronic but at least we can keep it under somewhat control with lotion). Hope that helped at all and good luck.

First of all, I don't think you need to lose weight! You're at a good height and weight for 14 years old.

You might be gaining weight because you're not eating enough (idk exactly how that works but I've heard of it a lot on the biggest loser, I'm sure you can look it up and find out more)

You will end up getting more muscle but unless you completely overdo it, you won't have huge thighs haha

With running it creates lean muscles and yes muscle weighs more then fat. And no your legs arent going to get really big! That isnt enough working out and weight lifting to get big lol. In order to lose that much weight, you will need to do ALOT of aerobic exercises like running, soccer, swimming and riding your bike.

Not having your period at age 12 is not abnormal...so, no worries there. :0) Having had one menstrual cycle a year ago and not another one since is a bit odd. -Ok, so I was laying on my stomach watching TV and all of a sudden it feels like I was laying on something. I checked and there was nothing there. I touched the spot that felt like a thing was there and felt a little bump right under my right breast on my ribcage. I was like "WTF" and you cant see it but if you touch it something IS there. It doesn't hurt but it feels weird if you touch it. Hard like a bone; round like a button except it's not flat. Sinus pressure, can't sleep, now what?

-Last night I only got 4 hours of sleep due to sinus pressure and a sore throat (from drainage). The sinus pressure had been and still is as bad as it was. I take Zyrtec-D (cetirizine? and pseudoephedrine) twice daily because it lasts 12 hours, and I use Flonase once daily (two sprays in each nostril). I use a neti pot almost daily. I just tried using it and the water would barely get through from one side. Also, I have been able to blow my nose, and the snot is light yellow, and I've been coughing a bit today (which just aggravated my throat even more, but cough drops helped). What else can I do? I want to sleep, and I want the sinus pressure to at least lessen a little bit.Okay this is gonna sound weird....but mix lemon juice and honey together. More honey than lemon juice. Then drink 3 tablespoons of it. It helps me every time. My dad used to make it for me when I had sinus infections or a sore throat. It works!!Down a bottle of Nyquil and suck in your snot.

What do I do if I masturbate too much?

-I have been masturbating constantly, and it feels really loose down there, and my hand and arm started hurting. What if I go to the doctor or something and they comment on my arm. What would I tell them? I can't just say, "Oh I've been masturbating!" Gah...Well cut your hands off so u can't do it anymore..hehe..jk. -Hi I'm 15 and wonder what is the best and easiest way to tone you tummy. Websites or what you have had success with. Please and thanks:)Eat healthier and smaller portions. Get at *least* ten minutes of excercise every day. Eat yogurt with live active probiotic cultures. This is VERY important, don't skip it! It helps digest food better and keep everything moving. Very easy to find at supermarkets. Remember excess sugar turns into fat, so avoid lots of sweets and high-sugar foods. Drink *lots* of water to prevent bloating, which can make you look and feel bigger than you are. Avoid lots of sodium, because that causes instant bloating. Eat everything whole grain, you'll find most of it tastes the same as refined products. This is also very important. If you don't drink it already, switch your milk to fat-free milk. Although it sounds backwards, make sure to get your fair share of MONOUNSATURATED fats, AKA the "good" fats. These are found in olive oil, avocados, nuts, fish, etc. Eating these will help you keep a good weight and lose weight over time. If you want a nice, hourglass figure with a nipped in waist, AVOID working your abs too much, no matter what anyone says. You will not make things smaller by building up the muscles. Is steaming more than once a bad thing?

-Well I've been going to the gym a lot lately and the best part? THE END. Which is when I get to go in the steam room and relax for a bit. I just steamed my face earlier today at home, but figured.. isn't it bad to over steam your face or something?Not really.



I mean at worst, your skin just gets very soft/moist and will be more likely to peel... and for some people this can make your face very nice and smooth, or with different layers of skin/looking uneven. like wrinkly fingers and stuff. -It is extremely difficult for me to drink water on a daily basis i usually have no more than 2liters a week.I get migraine headaches everyday and have had urinary probems i believe is because of the lack of water.I also have a bowel movement maybe once or twice a week and it is usually either really runny or very hard to pass.I also rarely eat any vegetables,fruits,or pretty much anything healthy.I grew up this way and am learning i have a very long way to go as far as health.But each time i drink water i feel ery sick and its accompanied with headache.For example,today i drank 1liter of aquafina water and then i felt dizzy and very sick to my stomach and had two bowel movements within two hours that felt similiar to having a stomach virus.Loose and runny.Advice anyone?Less than a week. How can I get taller?

Well, genetics are a funny thing. My mom is 5'2" and my dad 6'2". However, you never mentioned if you're a boy or a girl. I have an only brother and he actually came out to be 6'3". Taller than my dad! :-) Right now I'm the tallest of the girls. I'm 5"4' and my sister is 5'0" and we both are in our thirties. However, we have a 14-year old sister who we believe is gonna' be taller than us girls! Just be proud that you have all your arms, legs, fingers and toes and that you are able to walk. There are many people who are of athletic height or supermodel height but are unable to walk. They may still have a great quality of life, but nothing beats walking and running!



If you are still bothered, you can go to an endocrinologist to see if everything is biologically fine and that your pituitary gland is functioning just right. However, I just think you should let time take it's course. Eat and drink healthy. Stay away from large amounts of caffeine. Certain foods can slow down natural producing growth hormones. Oh, and try Yoga. It should be a healthy way of stretching limbs! :-)

dont do anything anyone tells you will suddenly make you tall. that will just get you hurt. eat uer vegtibles and wait 5 ft for 12 isnt short you will natraly have a growth spirt soon and grow a foot in a year i bet.
If you want to be taller hang upside down from the pull up bars or something similar. I did that and I ended up being 6'2"
I did pilattes for a week and grew an inch. Eat plenty of vegetables and fruits and take vitamins.

-Help I know it's gross to have sweaty hands and armpits help me please!! No mean comments plz!:) thanksI prefer roll on anti perspirant like ultra ban for underarms. When I was a teenager, I sprayed my hands with anti perspirant. This helped a lot. Most of the time, sweaty hands is from nerves. Just try to stay calm. Most people have sweaty palms, too. You can also use a body powder that contains cornstarch. Hope this helpsI don't know how to stop the hands, maybe don't get so nervous, try relaxin. The pits, well they have special nonpersparant deoderant for that. If its still a problem, the doctor can treat it with medicine, its okay. Don't be so embarassed, its a natural part of our body. Everyone gets it some more than others.
Try anti-perspirant cream, rub it on your palms and it should help. They make other prescription items and there is some research into using Botox injections for the hands -- you can look into that, but anti-perspirant is much cheaper. :)

I can only get an IUD after I've had children?

You cant feel it and u can wear it when ur swimming and i play sports so i love it the worst part is you gotta change every 2-3 hours but when u go to sleep u can wear it but try to change every 8 hours if you were to wear 1 to bed put a liner on cause sometimes u might leak lol but i would say tampons are better i was scared at first but i got over it its scary but u cant feel it and no one can notice unless u tell them :)I was 13 when I first started my period, and I prefer to use pads. Mostly because I find shoving something 'up there' uncomfortable for me. I can't really tell you what to use, so just try tampons. And if it doesn't work out for you, stick to using pads.



For cleaning my skin, I just use soap and water, aha. And talking to your mom is better than reading books, trust me (: Moms always know the right thing to say. And always have some pads/tampons (Whichever you decide to use when that time comes) because you need to change it every 4-6 hours, at least.
I don't remember my age but it was around 12. I use both tampons and pads, the first couple days are heavy so I wear tampons and at night i wear them also and when i am slow i just wear pads. You need to always have a tampon and/or pad and maybe think about carrying some pain medication if you get cramps. As for what I use to wash my face, just face wash and toner after I usually switch up the brands because it seems to work better when I first start using a new brand.
First of all when you start its best to use pads...than start using tampons (I use kotex)

Once i was at home and i was getting my first period...i was talking to someone i liked and i needed to go to the bathroom and i went up and i looked in my pants and i saw blood... i screamed like bloody murder and then my mom rushes in and goes "what...what happened"

And i'm like i am on my fricking period!

And then she goes YAY YAY YAY YAY your becoming a women!

And i felt weird....
i was 9 1/2 when i first got mine and it depends what you like better i like pads better but if im going training or if i have lacrosse or hockey i use a tampon and pad. and all 3 are good going online is simpler and if your not comfortable talking to your mom and you should always have a liner and pad and an extra pair of underwear
i was 12 when i had my first. and it depends on what ur day activities are 4 the day. if ur going 2 be doing a lot of moving around during the day (ex. dance class, swimming ect.) i would recomend a tampon. but whats most important is which is more comfortable. taking a shower or some face or skin cleanser will be fine, and definiately talk 2 ur mom when u have it. she'll understand u and can probably give u some tips. and when at school make sure 2 always keep pads in ur purse, backpack, ect.



when i had my first period, i was at school in P.E. class. i started getting cramps so i asked 2 go 2 the restroom. i saw the blood in my underwear and at first i thought i crapped myself. but then i started thinking "o crap im female" lol. when i got home my mom was still at work so i had 2 tell my dad. a very awkward conversation followed that cause he had no idea wat i was talking about. and now every time we go 2 the store 2gether and i put pads or tampons in the basket he still scratches his head. lol

I was 12 when i got mine, and i was one of the first. Everyones different though I know someone who didnt get it till they were 16. The best thing at first is pads, which can be gross but i didnt start with tampons until i was 16-17, just what you feel comfortable with.
I got my first period wen I was 16 but before that wen I was 14 thru 15 I had brown discharge (gross) don't be in the rush to get yur period sweet heart. ..: having a period cause yu alot of problems ... I wish I was yu cause when i have period I be in pain 24/7... Nd it's no joke
I was 15 when I started mine and was much later than my friends. I always used pads until I was 16/17. Just depends on what you are used too. Asking your mom is probably good, but it doesn't hurt to read books!

tampon is better i recomend tampx pearl; plastic applicater lights or regualar for the first time then after a while get the one for your cycle

but i would get a pad for the first two or three periods

to put a tampon in i would go to beinggirl.com also realax it might feel weird but its fine aslong as its not pinching your fine

best way to clean your skin: i take a bath and i just sit down and kinda splash water up there to get the dry blood and stuff of and then i drain out the tuib and i take a shower.

i would do all three but i recomend talk to your mom or a trusted girl adult first.

what you shold always have is a black or non see through bag and put 2-3 panty liners in and 1-2 pads and 2 tampons and maybe some feminme wipes. and if you dont wanna carrry all that then just bring 1 pad and tampon. or just bring some quarers for the machine thing or both.

and my period story is me and my sister we washing my dog and i had to go to the bathroom and i looked and there was blood on my underwear. so i just told my mom and she bought me pads she only freaked out because she said i was too young .. but it only lasted 2 days and i had no cramps but i couldnt belive that is was my period i thought maybe i was just bleeding cuz i didnt get it for like 3 months after and then it was every other month but now it is more regualar. for cramps i recomend hot tea or hot chocolate and a hot water bottle or towel or something to put on your back or stomach or both and take some pain pills but those are for serious cramps if you have light cramps do one or two of those things..

鈥?I like both. You can swim with tampons. They are less messy. But you CANNOT leave them in for more than 8 hours or you will get TSS a rare but very serious infection. Pads don't give you the risk of TSS. They can be worn overnight because of this. They are easier to use. But you cannot go swimming with them. The pad will get soggy and it just does not work out will. However, you will have to deciede what you want to use.

鈥?Take a shower or bath. But if you aren't at home you can carry around baby wipes. Always makes pads that come with wipes. Quite a few companies make wipes just for girls on their period.

鈥?Not much, aside from talking to people who have experienced it or just experiencing it yourself.

鈥?Even before your period (in case you start unexpectantly), you should carry around some pads in a small make-up case(just throw it in ur backpack or purse). You could even put in a extra pair of undies (in case you leak), some wipes for cleaning up, chocolate to make u feel better:) and I don't know why but some girls put in socks. You could also put an extra pair of jeans or a sweatshirt to tie around your waist in ur backpack in case you leak.
