Should I wear my glasses all the time?

-Hi I wear glasses for nearsightedness and I have -1.25 for both eyes. My optometrist said I should wear my eyeglasses for class, movies, tv, ect. But should I wear them all the time? Will that make my eyes stronger or more dependent on my glasses? I know they wouldn't make glasses if they made your eyes worse, but still. Sorry I don't know about this stuff I just got my glasses and I'm 13. Thanks!:DI suggest wearing your eyeglasses when needed just as your doctor advised. There is no need to wear a distance correction while using the computer or reading. I have a distance prescription as well and do the same thing. I wear mine to drive, watch TV, or any other activity that requires clear distance vision.only if your eyesight is worse than -2.00D. which yours isn't so... go ahead. your eyesight will stay the same. eyeglasses only work when you wear them. you might notice how bad your sight is without, but it won't make it worse.

i'm nearsighted too and i only wear them when i go out or am watching tv. :)
If you want to see better, wear them all the time.
no need to wear all time.. use it when you watch tv, read etc...:)
