-My friend is 16 and she has a lump on the inside of her breast right beside the nipple. It's not noticeable on the outside but she can feel it in the inside. What is it? Is she safe? What should she do about it? Could it be cancer or just some hormonal or milk developing thing?Hi,
It could be just because she's still developing, may you can wait until she's about 17-18 to get a breast exam. The lump in her breast could be just a normal breast cyst. And cyst are not cancerous. Read this http://www.examiner.com/health-in-riverside/ways-to-prevent-breast-cancer-risks-and-causes-of-breast-cancer hope this help. Not likely to be adenocarcinoma of the breast at age 16.
That would be much more rare than lightning striking her.
Much more likely a benign cystic lesion.
But it's always a good idea to see a good physician.
This is happening to one of my male friends, age 14. He's not experiencing any problems. I'd say it is a developing gland, but have her seen just to make sure.
No, she does not have Cancer. It is completely hormonal. But she shouldn't be embarrassed to discuss it with her doctor or her Mom.
SHE SHOULD TELL HER MOM FOR 1... IF SHE FOUND A LUMP ON BREAST THATS 1 THING U SHOULD NOT PLAY WITH SHE SHOULD GET IT CHECKED OUT RIGHT AWAY....
