Is it weird if I see dark blues as purple?

-Okay so I have been noticing I see some blues as purples. I can tell the difference between all regular blues like baby blue and electric blue. On Wed or Thur I thought my friend's headphones for purple and I said "Nice purple headphones." Then he said "There blue." He then showed them to me and I saw they were blue. I also did the same with my other friend and I asked if her sweater was blue or purple and she said "its blue."I thought it was purple. Someone please help. I don't know what is wrong with my eye. And please use cold hard facts or anything that can explain this. No stupid comments please!I think you might be color blind. I remember when I was getting a check up at my optometrist and she had me look at different colored numbers on a different color background to see if I can distinguish the numbers. If you are color blind, sadly there is no cure for it :( But you might not be color blind. you could also be nearsighted and from far away, your fuzzy vision made you think that your friend's headphones and sweater were purple. Or maybe it was just the sun in your eyes :) In any case, it's best to visit your optometrist to get your eyes checked out. :)Not really. I have the same thing going on too.
